What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is specialised medical care that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of foot and ankle conditions, addressing issues such as flat feet, bunions, heel spurs, and verrucas. In addition, our podiatrist foucses on more complex conditions associated with sports injuries and diabetic neuropathy. We also offer expert gait analysis, biomechanical assessments, and the provision of custom orthotics.

We address your conditions using an array of treatment methods, including providing physiotherapy, preventative medical devices such as orthotics (shoe inserts), personalised exercise plans, routine check-ups, and when necessary, surgical intervention.

What Can I Expect From My First Appointment?

In order for us to give you the best treatment its important we start with an inital assesment which takes around 30 minutes where our podiatrist will ask you a few questions about your medical history and your lifestyle.

Our podiatrist will then perform a foot and ankle health check for you to check the sensation and circulation of your feet. This is so we can discuss with you the best treatment options to tailor a plan specifically to you.

All of our appointments include routine treatment where required such as nail cutting, corn and callus removal (hard skin) and foot cream applied to the feet to help keep your feet hydrated, preventing dry skin and heels.
